How many dogs in a typical Bernedoodle litter? No specific rules/ Mostly depends upon mother size

In the Bernedoodle breeding process, the mother is always a poodle dog as compared to a male Bernese mountain dog. There is a lot of variety in the poodle size, due to which the number of puppies differs significantly. When we talk about the number of dogs in a typical Bernedoodle litter, there are no specific rules for each cross. But somehow, it depends upon the size of the mother poodle. The average litter size for the standard Bernedoodle is about 6 to 8 puppies. As the standard Bernedoodle size varies in a big range, so this size difference also reflects in the number of puppies. So sometimes the average number of litter is also jumped to 14 puppies. So we can say it’s difficult to precisely judge the number of dogs in a typical standard Bernedoodle litter.

Miniature Bernedoodle

The miniature Bernedoodles are considered as the medium size Bernedoodles after the standard size. The average litter size for a Miniature Bernedoodle is around 5 to 6 puppies. But the average litter size can jump to 8 to 9 puppies with a larger litter size of the Miniature Bernedoodles. So we can say we can’t accurately judge the number of puppies in a Miniature Bernedoodle litter.

Toy Bernedoodle

The toy Bernedoodle is the smallest size in the Bernedoodles. The average litter size of the toy Bernedoodle is around 3 to 4 puppies.
