Wavy hair coat
The wavy coat is the most commonly found coat in the Bernedoodles. When we talk about the shedding, this coat has the feature of low to non-shedding. This coat sheds less as compared to straight hair Bernedoodles. But when you brush these types of coat, it may shed more as compared to normal. This coat is usually more hypoallergenic as compared to straight hair Bernedoodles.
Curly hair coat
The curly coat is the most demanding and rarely found coat in the Bernedoodles. When we talk about the shedding, this coat sheds the least as compared to both the above coat types. Moreover, this coat type is least hypoallergenic as compared to both above coat types. The hypoallergenic Bernedoole coat is the one reason for the most demand for this coat type. The curly coat usually sheds on themselves rather than shedding it on the floor. So you need to brush and trim them regularly due to this nature. The curly coat is the most suitable coat type for the families due to its least shedding property.
From all the above discussion, we can conclude that the Bernedoodles shed the least as compared to many other breeds. Least shedding is the reason that they are also known as the “non-shedding” dogs.
